By Daily News staff The Fort Myers Miracle trudged their way through a 7-5 road win Sunday over the Clearwater Threshers. The Miracle committed three errors in the game, which took more than three hours to finish. The teams combined to walk 11 men. Fort Myers' Trent Oeltjen broke a 5-5 tie in the eighth inning with a two-run bases-loaded single to right. With the tying runs on base in the bottom of the ninth, Miracle reliever Jan Granado got Zach Norman to fly out just in front of the warning track in center field to end the game. Oeltjent went 2-for-5 with a triple, three RBIs and a run scored. Granado picked up his league-tying third victory of the season by going 2-1/3 innings of relief. Webposted 04/25/05 |
