Fort Myers' bats explode again on Dunedin

For the second straight night, the Fort Myers Miracle offense exploded, this time scoring nine runs in a 9-5 win over the Dunedin Blue Jays in Dunedin on Thursday night.

Fort Myers beat Dunedin, 10-1, on Wednesday night.

Denard Span went 5-for-5 to lead the Miracle attack with a double, four singles, two RBIs and a run scored Thursday.

Brock Peterson had a solo homer in a five-run fourth, and Kyle Phillips added a solo shot in the fifth. The Miracle have homered six times in the last two games.

Miracle starter Nick Blackburn was solid, going six innings allowing three runs, one earned, on three hits while walking two and striking out six.

The teams meet in the [series] finale tonight at 7.
