Miracle contest postponed due to rain

LAKELAND — The finale of a three-game series between the Fort Myers Miracle and Lakeland Tigers was postponed Saturday because of rain.

Lakeland had taken the first two games of the series.

The teams will make up Saturday's rainout as part of a doubleheader when the Miracle return to Lakeland on Saturday, June 11.

The Miracle will now head to Clearwater for a three-game series against the Threshers starting at 2 p.m. today.

Fort Myers will start left-hander Errol Simonitsch (2-1, 3.00 ERA) against Threshers righty Matt Sweeney (0-3, 13.06).
