Matt Garza continued his early-season dominance for the Fort Myers Miracle on Saturday, allowing an unearned run and one hit over 6 2/3 innings in a 9-1 pasting of the Lakeland Tigers.

Garza (3-0), who fanned nine and walked two, has 27 strikeouts and three walks in four starts. He lowered his ERA to 0.49 over 18 1/3 innings.

The 22-year-old right-hander, who gave up two hits over five innings against Tampa on April 11, has continued the dominance he displayed last year in the Appalachian and Midwest Leagues.

Angel Garcia allowed one hit in 2 1/3 scoreless innings for the Miracle (10-6).

Fort Myers scored four runs in the third on a solo homer by Johnny Woodard and a three-run blast by Erold Andrus. The Miracle added two in the fourth, two more in the sixth and one in the eighth.

Woodard went 3-for-3 with four runs scored. Andrus and Alexi Casilla each had two hits and three RBIs, while Justin Arneson chipped in two hits and two RBIs.

Lakeland starter Dallas Trahern (1-3) allowed six runs on seven hits over four innings. He walked two and struck out two.

The Tigers (8-8) were two-hit for the first time since 2002 and had a three-game winning streak snapped.
