Special to The News-Press The Fort Myers Miracle battled back Wednesday night at Hammond Stadium, rallying to defeat the Tampa Yankees. With the Miracle trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Deacon Burns clubbed a 2-1 pitch over the right-field wall for his first homer of the season, to tie the game at 3. With one out in the eighth, Alexi Casilla reached on an infield single. Trevor Plouffe singled him to second. Garrett Guzman loaded the bases when he hit a shot to short that Eduardo Nunez bobbled. Burns then followed with a walk to push across the eventual winning run. Miracle closer J.P. Martinez picked up his second save of the season. Miracle starter Kevin Slowey went five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits while striking out seven. Tim Lahey picked up the win in relief, going 2 2/3 hitless innings.
