By Special to the Fort Myers News Press FORT MYERS — The third comeback of the night for the Clearwater Threshers proved to be enough as they knocked off the Fort Myers Miracle 6-4 on Tuesday night at Hammond Stadium. Clearwater used a balanced, 11-hit attack to pick up its second straight win over the Miracle. A back-and-forth contest began with a Thresher run in the first as Greg Golson reached on a one-out single to left, later scoring on a Welinson Baez single to right. The first Miracle run came across in the second, as Edward Ovalle scored on Eli Tintor’s two-out single to right. Clearwater took its second lead with a three-run third. The Miracle responded, tallying three runs in the fourth, squaring things at four apiece. The final two Thresher runs came in the fifth, as Lou Marson connected with an RBI double to left, and Clay Harris followed by delivering an RBI single, also to left. Tintor finished the night 2-for-4, accounting for all four runs crossing the plate with his four RBI. The Miracle and Threshers will conclude the three-game series at 10:35 a.m. today.
