The Fort Myers Miracle probably wish they never resumed play after Sunday's game was suspended in the fifth inning.

When play resumed on Monday at Hammond Stadium, the Jupiter Hammerheads continued to hammer Miracle pitchers en route to a 15-4 victory over Fort Myers.

Already leading 6-0 when play resumed on Monday, the Hammerheads put up five more runs in the fifth inning, the big blow being a three-run homer by Eric Ordorica.

James Shanks added a three-run blast in Jupiter’s four-run sixth inning. Shanks finished the game 5-for-6, falling a double shy of hitting for the cycle, while driving in three and scoring three.

Ben Pattee went 3-for-4 for the Miracle.

The Hammerheads completed a Monday sweep by beating the Miracle 2-1 in the regularly-scheduled nightcap.

Hammerheads starter James Russ outdueled Miracle starter Justin Olson, allowing one run on five hits while walking one and striking out six over five innings.

Olson tossed 5.1 innings, allowing two runs on three hits while walking three and striking out seven.

With the game tied 1-1 in the sixth, Shanks hit a sacrifice fly to center field that scored the go-ahead run.

The back-to-back losses are the first for the Miracle since losing three straight from July 8 through 10.

The Miracle will play host to Tampa at 7:05 tonight at Hammond Stadium.
