In a critical game in the Florida State League playoff race, Trent Oeltjen's grand slam in the seventh inning led Fort Myers to a 6-2 win over Dunedin in the first game of a twinbill on Thursday.

Oeltjen's slam capped off a 4-for-4 performance that included two runs scored and four RBIs. For his clutch effort, he was named the Star of the Day.

Fort Myers is fighting for its playoff life, trying to catch Dunedin in the tight FSL West Division race. After falling in the nightcap Thursday, the Miracle stand 2.5 games behind the division leaders, right where they started at the beginning of the long night.

The Miracle trailed 2-1 heading into the seventh and final frame of Thursday's doubleheader opener. Three singles and a hit by pitch tied the score and set the stage of Oeltjen.

The Australia native launched a grand slam off Milton Tavarez over the right field wall, his fourth homer of the season, and gave the Miracle the lead they needed.

In the second game, the Blue Jays used the long ball to batter the Miracle pitching staff. David Smith homered twice and Scott Dragicevich also hit a homer as Dunedin earned a split with a 6-4 win.
