The Fort Myers Miracle lost to the Clearwater Threshers, 2-1, on Monday night after the Threshers' field was not covered immediately when rain began to fall.

Umpires called the game after 30 minutes of rain because the field was not covered. The game lasted 6 1/2 innings.

The Miracle led 1-0 after Luke Hughes' sacrifice fly in the second, but the Threshers scored twice in the bottom of the inning with the aid of an error.

Fort Myers appeared to have scored a run in the third, but a Clearwater outfielder made a play on a flyball that umpires ruled was a catch. The Miracle runner was easily doubled up at second.

The two teams meet tonight at 7:05.
