By Daily News staff The Fort Myers Miracle scored an important win Saturday night, defeating the first-place Dunedin Blue Jays, 4-1, at Knology Park. Fort Myers pulled within 2 1/2 games out of first and 3 1/2 games out of a potential wild card in the Florida State League playoff race. Left-hander Justin Jones went 7 and 2/3 innings for the Miracle, allowing just one run on three hits while walking four and striking out five. After giving up a double in the first and second innings, Jones didn't allow another hit until there were two outs in the eighth inning. The only run he allowed came in the second when Joey Reiman doubled to left, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on an RBI groundout by Robinson Diaz. The Miracle took a 2-1 lead in the sixth. After an RBI groundout by Mark Zamojc, Luke Hughes singled to left with two outs to score Kyle Geiger. Jay Sawatski pitched the final 1 and 1/3 innings for the Miracle to earn his 12th save. With all teams off today, the final week begins Monday night, as the Miracle host the Tampa Yankees at 7:05. Webposted Published on August 28, 2005
