By SPECIAL TO THE NEWS-PRESS TAMPA -- The Fort Myers Miracle lost to Jaret Wright and the Tampa Yankees, 3-2, on Tuesday night. Wright, making his third rehab assignment of the year for the New York Yankees, went six innings -- allowing two runs on seven hits while walking three and striking out four. The Yankee bullpen shut down the Miracle over the final three innings, not allowing a hit while walking just one and striking out four. Miracle starter Scott Tyler was strong in his five innings, allowing just a solo homer in the first on four hits while walking one and striking out two. Chris Schutt tossed 1 1/3 shutout innings and Jay Sawatski had an inning of shutout ball in relief for the Miracle. The teams meet again at 7 tonight at Legends Field. The Miracle send Jay Rainville (3-1, 2.81 ERA) to the hill against Tyler Clippard (9-7, 3.11). Webposted Published on August 10, 2005
