By Special to The News-Press CLEARWATER — The Fort Myers Miracle chose a perfect time in the season for one of their rare late inning comebacks as they defeated the Clearwater Threshers 4-3 on Wednesday night at Bright House Networks Field. Up next is a four-game showdown with the first place Dunedin Blue Jays. The Miracle rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the seventh inning. With one out Allen de San Miguel walked. Angelo Fermin singled to right that put runners at first and second. Jake Mauer's single to left-center loaded the bases. Trent Oeltjen followed with a single to left-center that scored de San Miguel to make it 3-1. Kyle Geiger then singled to center that drove in a run to make it 3-2. Mark Zamojc's fly ball to center scored Mauer to tie it at three and the relay throw from the center fielder Littleton to the cut off man Bramasco was dropped, which allowed Oeltjen to score the go ahead run. Oeltjen finished the evening 3-5 with a double, RBI and a run scored. Tristan Crawford pitched two scoreless innings and Julio DePaula piched the ninth to earn the save. The Miracle now get set for a four-game series with the first place Blue Jays, whom they trail by 2.5 games with 11 to go. The two teams play a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. today.
