Special to the Daily Breeze CLEARWATER — The Fort Myers Miracle have been coming up with timely home runs during their stretch drive and got a couple of more big flies Wednesday night in their 7-5 victory over the Clearwater Threshers. The win reduces the Miracle's magic number to clinch the Western Division to three games. The Tampa Yankees' 6-4 win Sarasota keep them 1 1/2 games behind the Miracle. The Miracle have five games left while the Yankees have just four. Should the teams finish tied for first the Miracle hold the tiebreaker by winning the second-half season series 5-4. David Winfree cracked an RBI double in the first inning. In the third, Erold Andrus (3-for-5) belted a three-run homer to right to make it 5-1. In the sixth, with two outs and nobody on, Deacon Burns hit a solo homer over the right field wall and Andrus laced an RBI triple. The Miracle begin their final two regular season games at Hammond Stadium Thursday and Friday against Sarasota. Webposted on August 31, 2006
