FORT MYERS, FL – The date had been circled on the calendar for both the Fort Myers Miracle and Clearwater Threshers for over a week now. A four game series in three days beginning with a double header on Monday night at Hammond Stadium which was going to do a lot for the race in the Western Division.

Along came Mother Nature and now the four game series will take place over two days as the Miracle and Threshers were rained out on Monday night. The two teams will play a double header on Tuesday at 5:05 p.m. and Wednesday at 5:05 p.m. Both days will be two seven inning games with the second game beginning approximately 25 minutes at the conclusion of game one.

The Miracle will send LHP Kyle Aselton (8-3, 3.10) to the hill in game one and the Threshers will counter with LHP Zach Cline (NR). Both teams are TBA in game two. The Tampa Yankees and Sarasota Reds were also washed out, so the top of the division didn’t change with the Miracle holding a one game lead over the Yankees and a 1.5 game lead on the Threshers with 15 games to go.
