Naples Daily News For the third time in four games, the Fort Myers Miracle used a late-inning rally to scratch out a victory. They scored four runs over the final two innings to beat the Dunedin Blue Jays 6-5 on Wednesday night at Hammond Stadium. With the Miracle trailing 3-1 in the sixth inning, Caleb Moore hit his first home run as a Miracle, a solo blast over the left-field wall. Steve Tolleson hit another solo homer in the seventh, his third with the Miracle, to tie the game at 3. The Miracle (20-17) took the lead in the eighth against Blue Jays reliever T.J. Gornati. David Winfree's bases-loaded single to right scored two runs and gave Fort Myers a 5-3 lead. Brock Peterson followed with a sacrifice fly to give the Miracle a three-run cushion, which they ended up needing, as Dunedin scored twice in the ninth. Miracle starter Josh Hill went seven innings, allowing three runs — one earned — on six hits while walking two and striking out four. The Miracle improved to 7-1 when he starts. Fort Myers takes to the road for a four-game series against the Brevard County Manatees beginning tonight at 7 p.m. MIRACLE MOVESThe Fort Myers Miracle added right-handed pitcher Oswaldo Sosa from the Midwest League.
