The Fort Myers Miracle won their third straight on Sunday, this one a 6-4 win over the host Brevard County Manatees.

The Miracle got on the board in the first when Deacon Burns singled to center to score Trevor Plouffe, then Steve Tolleson followed with an RBI single to make it 2-0. It was the 19th straight inning the Miracle had registered a hit, though that streak ended in the second inning.

Tolleson later scored when he led off the fourth with a triple and scored on Luke Hughes' sacrifice fly.

Fort Myers starter Anthony Swarzak picked up the win by going seven strong innings, allowing two runs on six hits. Swarzak walked a pair and fanned three.

The Miracle avoided disaster in the ninth when the Manatees loaded the bases with nobody out. Fort Myers brought in Danny Powers, who closed the door with two strikeouts and a fielder's choice.

The Miracle now return home for a six game homestand. Fort Myers opens up a four-game set with the Vero Beach Dodgers at 7 p.m. tonight at Hammond Stadium.

Josh Hill (6-3) pitches for Fort Myers. The game will be broadcast live on WWCN/AM 770.
