Miracle can't figure out Vero Beach

The Fort Myers Miracle dropped a 9-7 decision to the Vero Beach Dodgers on Tuesday night at Hammond Stadium.

Luke Hughes put Fort Myers up early with a third-inning solo shot for the first run of the game. But Drew Locke put Vero Beach ahead 2-1 in the fourth with a two-run shot to left, and Vero Beach scored seven times in the fifth.

The Dodgers and Miracle play again at 7 p.m. tonight at Hammond Stadium. Oswaldo Sosa will pitch for Fort Myers.
