The Fort Myers Miracle earned a share of first place in the Florida State League's Western Division with a 5-4 win Saturday night over the Sarasota Reds at Hammond Stadium.

The Miracle (27-20), who scored the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, are tied with the Clearwater Threshers, who lost to the Dunedin Blue Jays on Saturday night.

During the first half of the season, Fort Myers spent more days in first place than any other Western Division team but failed to win the first-half crown.

The Miracle squandered a 4-1 lead in the seventh. In the eighth, Trevor Plouffe's shallow single to center scored J.R. Taylor for the winning run.

The Miracle were off Sunday. They visit the Jupiter Hammerheads for a five-game series in four days starting tonight with a doubleheader at 5:05.
