Fort Myers Miracle pitcher Oswaldo Sosa kept the Lakeland Tigers at bay on Saturday night, throwing five shut-out innings in a 3-0 Miracle win at Joker Marchant Stadium.

Sosa, pitching on three days' rest, allowed two hits, walked four and fanned five. Jose Mijares struck out six in three innings of hitless relief, and Danny Powers picked up his ninth save with perfect ninth.

Trevor Plouffe put the Miracle ahead with a solo home run in the first, David Winfree added another run with a sacrifice fly in the third and Jeremy Pickrel drove in the final run with an RBI double in the fourth.

With nine games remaining, the Miracle hold a 1-game lead on Tampa in the Western Division.

The Miracle and Tigers play again at 6 tonight in Lakeland.
