By special to the Fort Myers News Press Come from behind victories are becoming old hat for the Fort Myers Miracle these days. The Miracle scored four runs over the final two innings to defeat the Dunedin Blue Jays 6-5 Wednesday night at Hammond Stadium. It marks the third time in four games the Miracle used a late-inning rally to scratch out a victory. With Fort Myers trailing 3-1 in the sixth inning, Caleb Moore blasted his first home run as a Miracle, a solo shot over the left-field wall to cut the deficit to 3-2. The Miracle used another solo shot in the seventh, this time from Steve Tolleson, to tie the game at 3. The Miracle, who improved to 20-17 in the second half of the Florida State League season, took advantage of Blue Jays reliever T.J. Gornati in the eighth. After loading the bases, David Winfree ripped a single to right that scored two runs and gave the Miracle a 5-3 lead. Brock Peterson followed with a sac fly to give the Miracle a three-run cushion, all of which they would need for the ninth. Chris Schutt, who pitched a scoreless eighth, walked Carlo Cota and gave up a double to Christian Snavely to begin the ninth. Tim Lahey replaced Schutt and induced three consecutive groundouts to second base to end the game. Webposted on August 03, 2006
