By special to the Fort Myers News Press The Fort Myers Miracle used a little extra base power to finally figure out the Vero Beach Dodgers in a 6-5 victory on Wednesday night at Hammond Stadium. The Miracle used five doubles and a triple and pounded out 13 hits for just their second victory in seven games against the Dodgers. Brandon Roberts was 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored while Trevor Plouffe was 3-for-5, finishing a homer shy of the cycle with two RBI. The Miracle improved to 24-20 in the second half. The teams meet at 7:05 p.m. today at Hammond Stadium. The Miracle send LHP Kyle Aselton (6-3, 3.58) to the hill against Dodger LHP Michael Megrew (2-0, 3.00). Webposted on August 10, 2006
