By Special to the Naples Daily News The Florida State League announced today that Miracle infielder Erik Lis has been named FSL Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 6-12. The 23-year old hit .400 (12-30) with a slugging percentage of .833 over the seven games. The Oak Lawn, Ill., native is hitting .273 with 14 homers and 81 RBI. Lis continued his hot streak last night blasting two homers and driving in five runs to power Fort Myers to an 8-6 win at Tampa. The Miracle have won nine straight games. Lis cranked a three-run shot in the fifth inning and added his 14th homer, a two-run blast, in the seventh. It was the second time in eight days, he has accounted for two homers and five RBIs, a feat he accomplished Aug. 6 at Daytona. Over the past eight games, he has five home runs and 15 RBI and now has three career multi-homer efforts and five games with at least five RBI. The Miracle trail Tampa by four games heading into tonight’s 7 p.m. game. The Miracle send RHP Jeff Manship (6-3, 2.63) to the mound against the Yankees RHP George Kontos (4-4, 4.00).
