By Special to the Naples Daily News The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed third baseman Tommy Watkins on the 15-day disabled list with a lower abdominal muscle strain. Watkins, a graduate of Riverdale High School in Fort Myers, was batting .357 (10-for-28) in nine games with the Twins. To fill Watkins’ spot on the 25-man roster, the Twins have reinstated third baseman Brian Buscher from the 15-day disabled list. Buscher, who was placed on the DL on August 8 (retro to August 7) with an infection in his right leg, batted .291 (5-for-17) with one home run and two rbi during his five game rehab assignment at Triple-A Rochester.
