TAMPA — Thursday’s game at Legends Field wrapped up the season series between the Fort Myers Miracle and Tampa Yankees.

The Tampa Yankees couldn’t be any happier.

It was the same story on a different night as Erik Lis had another two-run blast, helping the Miracle push their win-streak to 11 with a 9-5 win. A pair of four-run frames helped aid the Miracle as they pulled within 2.5 games of the top spot in the West.

Back-to-back singles by Brian Dinkelman and Steve Tolleson led off the four-run third. After Juan Portes drew a two-out walk to load the bases, Danny Valencia belted a bases-clearing triple to center, giving the Miracle a 3-0 lead. Valencia later scored on a throwing error by Marcos Vechionacci at third, making it a four-run inning.

The Miracle scored four more runs in the next inning brought to make the margin 8-0.
