Announce 2005 scheduleBy Sean Aronson FORT MYERS, FL – Like a mad scientist, Miracle Baseball has spent the off season concocting the wackiest, craziest and oddest promotions this town has ever seen. They have raised the bar for their 14th season in Southwest Florida and FUN IS GOOD will be all over the ballpark. Kids are sure to walk away with a smile on their face, parents will talk about their experience for the whole summer and our more mature audience will be sure to tell their friends about the humorous things around the ballpark in 2005. The Miracle will open the 2005 season on the road against the Sarasota Reds on Thursday, April 7. Opening night presented at Hammond Stadium is Saturday, April 9 at 7:05 p.m. with a big booming fireworks extravaganza to follow. Miracle Baseball, known for the whacky, off the wall promotions such as Bobble'ection, cork night and séance night, believe this season that FUN IS GOOD! Already a 14 year veteran in Southwest Florida, they signed a four year deal, to remain a Twins affiliate, ensuring they will continue to be a staple in the community. The Miracle 140 game schedule, 70 games at Hammond Stadium and 70 games on the road, runs until September 4. There are two new affiliations in the FSL, with Sarasota going from the Red Sox to the Reds and Brevard County going from the Expos to the Brewers. The longest homestand of the season is from July 23 – 31. Monday through Saturday games will continue to be at 7:05 p.m. while Sunday games will be at their familiar 1:05 p.m. Season ticket packages can be purchased by calling the Miracle office at 239-768-4210 or going to the website at www.miraclebaseball.com.
