The Minnesota Twins have released former Miracle players Omar Burgos, Tim Henkenjohann, Peter Tautor, and Ron Perodin.

Burgos was regulated to the GCL this summer as the Twins tried to convert him to a pitcher. Henkenjohann, the lone German on the Miracle, pitched briefly but has been hampered throught his career by injuries. Peter Tauter was looking for a break out year, but failed to deliver at the High A level. Ron Perodin has been with the Miracle for two seasons, but failed to earn a promotion to the the AA level.

Two Gulf Coast Leaguers, Joe Gault and Odannys Valdez were also released.

The Twins have also re-signed outfielder Jason Tyner and 3rd baseman Glenn Williams to minor league contracts.

Several former Miracle players have been invited to the Minnesota Twins Spring Training camp. These include catchers Kyle Geiger and Kyle Phillips, infielders Luis Maza and Tommy Watkins, outfielders Josh Rabe and Denard Span and southpaw pitchers Ricky Barrett and Glen Perkins.

The Toronto Blue Jays also traded former Miracle third baseman Corey Koskie this past weekend to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for former Miracle pitcher Brian Wolfe.

Former Miracle players Alex Romero, Errol Simonitsch, and Pat Neshek were added to the Twins 40 man roster for their first Major League Spring Training camp, while Francisco Liriano and Scott Baker return to Major League Spring Training, but this time, as part fo the Twins 40 man roster. Both are looking to crack the Twins line up out of training camp.
