By Naples Daily News staff The Fort Myers Miracle whipped the Sarasota Reds, 8-1, on Friday night, but their postseason hopes went by the wayside when Dunedin won its game by the same score. Justin Jones allowed a run on five hits in seven innings for the Miracle. Kyle Geiger went 3-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. The Miracle will finish the season up with two games at home over the weekend, starting tonight at 7:05. Tonight's Fort Myers Miracle game at Hammond Stadium will double as a relief effort for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. A receptacle will be on-site for relief supplies, such as tarps, but food will not be accepted. The Miracle also will donate $1 for each game ticket sold to the American Red Cross. Gates will open at 6 p.m. A fireworks show will follow the game. For tickets, call 239-768-4210 or visit www.miraclebaseball.com. Webposted September 3, 2005
