By ANDY KENT Naples Daily News Leave it to the Fort Myers Miracle to kick a Dolphin when he's down. Or in this case, an ex-Dolphin. Wasting no time whatsoever, Miracle general manager Steve Gliner and assistant general manager Andrew Seymour jumped all over the fervor created by Ricky Williams' retirement from the NFL by offering a special promotion for tonight's game with Clearwater. It already is "Two-for-Two Night." Now, anybody wearing, carrying or dragging a No. 34 Williams jersey will get into Hammond Stadium for $3.40. The jersey can be from Williams' time with the Dolphins or the New Orleans Saints, and the special price also is being offered to anybody in a Dolphins jersey, sporting Ricky Williams dreadlocks or who is retired. In addition, the Miracle have offered Williams a job either as a base-running instructor, team photographer or Web site designer. The last two jobs are in reference to Williams' two favorite hobbies as identified by Williams himself on his Web site. "It didn't take us long to think this up," said Seymour, who was behind three memorable promotions last season, including Sammy Sosa Corked Bat night. "There's so much stuff out there with Ricky and he's loved, coveted, followed, and football is God here. So if we can ever pony up on football we have to jump on it." Gliner said his wheels were turning before he even got a phone call from Seymour. He was watching ESPN and started jotting down ideas. He figured most people would be just as amazed as he was and that Dolphins fans would be ready to distance themselves from Williams and show their distaste in a tasteful manner. "The Miracle have always done a great job with topical stuff like this," said Gliner, in his first year as Miracle GM. "I think everything we've done and will continue to do is always in good taste and I don't think anybody will be offended." Seymour said the team will keep its job offer to Williams posted for 22 days and 34 minutes, both in honor of Williams' jersey number and to assure that the offer will last longer than former Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino's tenure as team vice president. "It snowballs from a team effort, just like that offensive line that pulled Ricky to those numbers," Seymour said. "So many people in this area have Dolphins paraphernalia and I think they're looking for a way to express themselves. This is one way without burning the jerseys or hanging up a Ricky Williams piņata."
