Special to The News-Press The Fort Myers Miracle battled back from a 3-0 deficit only to lose 4-3 in 10 innings to the Sarasota Red Sox on Sunday afternoon at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota. The Miracle managed just one hit over the first six innings against Red Sox starter Luis Mendoza, who retired 14 in a row at one point. Danny Matienzo went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Miracle, and extended his hitting streak to 10 games. Miracle starter Matt Yeatman allowed three runs and six hits over seven innings. The Miracle return home for a four-game series against Palm Beach starting at 7 tonight. The Miracle will send left-hander Jeff Randazzo (3-8, 5.33) to the mound.
