The Mets got on the scoreboard in the fourth on Bobby Malek's homer, but the Miracle got it right back in the bottom half on a Felix Molina RBI single. With Fort Myers up 3-2, Alex Romero came up with the big blow for the Miracle in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded and two outs, Romero smacked a bases-clearing triple into the right-center field gap. He then scored on an RBI single from Ron Perodin.
