By Daily News staff Hector Tiburcio hit a solo home run to put Sarasota ahead, and the Reds went on to a 4-1 victory over the Fort Myers Miracle on Saturday night in Sarasota. It was the Miracle's third straight loss. Down 1-0, Sarasota had two on in the fifth, but Miracle pitcher Adam Harben coaxed a double play grounder from Kyle Smith. A run did score to tie the game, then Tiburcio hit his fifth homer of the season. Joey Votto's two-run homer in the seventh gave the Reds a three-run cushion. The Miracle begin a four game series against the Vero Beach Dodgers at Hammond Stadium tonight at 5:05. Webposted July 24, 2005 |
