By SPECIAL TO THE NEWS-PRESS Fort Myers starter Nick Blackburn was solid Monday night at Hammond Stadium. His Palm Beach counterpart, however, was a little bit better. Cardinals starter Jose Garcia allowed just three hits while striking out nine over eight shutout innings in Palm Beach's 1-0 victory. Blackburn tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing five hits while walking two and striking out seven. Terry Evans' RBI single in the ninth off Miracle reliever Jan Granado provided the difference.
