By SPECIAL TO THE NEWS-PRESS All good things must come to an end. The Fort Myers Miracle, who had not a Florida State League game rained out since June 22, watched their run of good fortune come to an end Monday when their scheduled game against the Vero Beach Dodgers at Hammond Stadium was postponed due to inclement weather. The two teams will make the game up as part of a doubleheader today at 5:05 p.m. at Hammond Stadium. Both games will be seven innings. The Miracle will send left-hander Justin Jones (3-1, 3.21 ERA) to the hill in the opener. Right-hander Tristan Crawford (4-3, 3.64) is scheduled to start the nightcap. Webposted July 26, 2005 |
