Down 5-0 halfway through Saturday night's Florida State League game, the Fort Myers Miracle roared back for an 8-5 victory against the Daytona Cubs at the Lee County Sports Complex.

The Miracle managed just two hits through the first four innings and trailed 5-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth. That all changed as they exploded for five runs off Cubs starter J.R. Mathes.

The Miracle sent nine men to the plate. Luke Hughes had an RBI double, Trent Oeltjen contributed an RBI ground out, and Brock Peterson doubled in a run to make it 5-3. An error on Kyle Geiger's single allowed Peterson to score, and Scott Whitrock's RBI single capped the rally.
