Special to the Cape Coral Daily Breeze SARASOTA — The Sarasota Reds used a seven-run, eight-hit seventh inning to seal an 8-5 win over the Fort Myers Miracle Friday night. The Miracle’s three-game win streak came to an end as all eight Reds runs came with two outs in an inning. Scoring began in the Miracle third as Toby Gardenhire sliced a one-out double down the left-field line and moved to third on Brian Dinkelman’s groundout to first. Juan Portes’ RBI-single to left put the Miracle (14-15) up 1-0. Two more Miracle runs came across in the fifth to make it 3-0. Dinkelman’s RBI-single to right brought home Luis Ugueto and Portes added his second RBI-single for the three-run cushion. Johnny Woodard’s leadoff double in the sixth led to the fourth Miracle run. Woodard scored on an Erik Lis single up the middle. Sarasota jumped on the board in the sixth as a two-out walk by Miracle starter Jay Rainville proved costly. Miguel Perez roped a double down the left-field line slicing for the first run. Another two-out walk triggered the Reds’ seven-run seventh. Danny Dorn slapped a two-run double Chris Valaika added an RBI-single. The big blow was B.J. Szymanski’s three-run homer to left. The final two games of the series shifts to Hammond Stadium beginning at 7:05 p.m. Saturday night. Webposted on July 21, 2007
