By STEVE CONLEY LAKELAND - Deik Scram's two-run double in the fifth inning helped Lakeland defeat visiting Fort Myers, 3-2, on Wednesday. The Flying Tigers (14-17) trailed, 2-1, in the fifth, when Rafael Mendez drew a leadoff walk and Joel Roa ripped a one-out double before Scram grounded a double to left field. Shawn Roof put Lakeland on the board with an RBI single in the second. Starter Eleazar Aponte (3-8) snapped a personal seven-game Florida State League losing streak and registered his first win since April 25. He yielded two runs on on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over five frames. Ricky Steik and Brendan Wise combined for three hitless frames and Freddy Dolsi pitched around a single and two walks in a scoreless ninth for his 20th save. Miracle starter Jay Rainville (5-10) became the league's third 10-game loser, giving up three runs -- two earned -- on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. Brian Dinkelman smacked a solo homer, his fifth, and scored twice for Fort Myers (16-18). Webposted on July 25, 2007
