By Special to news-press.com In an offensive game that saw 19 runs, 25 hits and 19 runners left stranded, when all was said and done, the Fort Myers Miracle were able to pick up their third consecutive win, an 11-8 decision over the Jupiter Hammerheads on Saturday. Brian Dinkelman and Jeff Christy each had three hits as the Miracle hit safely a total of 39 times in the previous three wins. Glen Perkins, on a rehabilitation start from Minnesota, was roughed up in his one inning. A wild, four-run fifth inning gave the Miracle the lead for good. With the bases loaded and one out, Dinkelman laced a single to left, scoring Luis Ugueto and Johnny Woodard. On the same play, the throw to the plate by Andrew Jenkins in left was behind Woodard, and resulted in a throw to third by Trent D’Antonio. That throw, however, ended up down the left-field line, allowing Christy and Dinkelman to come around for a 9-5 lead.
