By Daily News staff Adam Harben pitched through an apparent injury, hurling five shutout innings to lead the Fort Myers Miracle to a 3-1 victory over the Tampa Yankees on Wednesday at Hammond Stadium. Harben allowed two hits, walked two and struck out three. Jan Granado pitched two perfect innings, and Peter Tautor and Jaunnio Gutierrez finished it off. Tautor got into and out of a bases-loaded jam in the eighth. Former major league pitcher Calvin Maduro, who had pitched for the Orioles and Phillies, got the loss. The Miracle sent eight men to the plate in the second on Brock Peterson's RBI double, Matt Tolbert's RBI single and Matt Moses' RBI double. The teams meet again tonight at 7:05 p.m. It is Dog Daze of Summer at the ballpark. Fans can bring their dog to the park and enjoy the amenities at the park. Webposted June 30, 2005 |
