By SPECIAL TO THE NEWS-PRESS Friday's scheduled Florida State League doubleheader between the Sarasota Reds and Fort Myers Miracle was rained out. The washout at the Lee County Sports Complex followed Wednesday and Thursday rainouts in Sarasota. Neither of Friday's games will be rescheduled, since this is the last meeting between the teams in the first half of the FSL season. The teams have another doubleheader scheduled for 5:05 p.m. today at the Lee County Sports Complex. The starting pitchers for Fort Myers will be a pair of left-handers, Glen Perkins (1-2, 2.65 ERA) and Errol Simonitsch (5-2, 3.03). Webposted June 4, 2005 |
