Special to the Cape Coral Daily Breeze The final game of the Florida State League’s first-half wrapped up on Wednesday night and it resembled how the first 70 have gone for the Fort Myers Miracle. For the second time this season, the Miracle picked up just two hits in a 4-0 blanking by the visiting Tampa Yankees. The Miracle finished the first half at 30-40, while the Yanks finish 1.5 games back of Sarasota at 41-28. Tampa starter Dan McCutchen threw seven innings, allowing the two hits with a walk, and three strikeouts. McCutchen’s seventh win of the season kept most of the 2,029 fans quiet at Hammond Stadium. Steve Tolleson and Erik Lis had the hits for the Miracle. The loss marked the 15th time this season the Miracle have been held scoreless. The second-half of the FSL season for the Miracle begins Thursday night against the division winner in the league’s first half, Sarasota at Ed Smith Stadium. Webposted on June 21, 2007
