By Special to the Naples Daily News The Sarasota Reds took advantage of an hour and forty minute rain delay on Thursday night to re-charge their batteries in a 7-3 win over the Fort Myers Miracle. The Miracle had a 2-1 lead before the delay in the top of the third, before Sarasota six of their seven runs after the delay. Adam Rosales would give the Reds a 1-0 lead with his sacrifice fly, scoring Mike DeJesus in the top of the first. The Miracle would respond with a pair of runs in their first as Juan Portes would take a two-out walk and come around on Erik Lis’ two-run shot to right, his sixth of the year. The rains came in the top of the third after Mike Griffin’s infield single to third. After the 100-minute delay, Sarasota would tally three in the fourth taking the lead for good. Craig Tatum belted a two-run to left giving the Reds a 3-2 lead. After a walk to Eric Eymann, Mike Griffin would plate him for a three-run Sarasota cushion. Two of the three runs tallied by Sarasota in the sixth would be unearned as the Reds cruised to the 7-3 win. An RBI-double for Dwayne White would plate the final Miracle run in their half of the sixth. The Miracle now begin the 2007 All-Star Break with Eddie Morlan and Oswaldo Sosa representing the Miracle in Daytona. The final three games of the first half will take place with the second-place Tampa Yankees beginning Monday night at 7:05 p.m. Webposted on June 15, 2007
