Steve Tolleson and Luis Ugueto came up with two run-scoring hits in the bottom of the eighth, plating the only runs of the night as the Fort Myers Miracle secured a 2-0 win over the Tampa Yankees on Tuesday night at Hammond Stadium.

The Miracle eighth began with a Whit Robbins single to right before Eli Tintor dropped down a sacrifice bunt to move Robbins to second. After a Toby Gardenhire strikeout, Tolleson delivered a flare to right to score Robbins with the game’s first run.

After Tolleson picked up his 11th stolen base of the season, Ugueto laced a double down the first-base line, scoring Tolleson for the 2-0 lead. The Yankee ninth began with Colin Curtis reaching on an error by Juan Portes at third, before Jose Tabata grounded into a double play and Juan Miranda grounded to second to end the game and eliminate the Yankees from playoff contention in the Florida State League's first half.

The Miracle picked up their fifth shutout of the season as starter Yohan Pino was phenomenal in eight innings of work. Pino allowed five hits while striking out seven, then Alexander Smit worked around the error in the ninth to register his first save of the year.

The final game of the first-half and series with the Tampa Yankees will take place at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday. Hammond Stadium will host several events on Wednesday, as the $12 "Binge on the Berm" will take place from 6-7:30 p.m., along with Fox-4 "Kids Club" members in attendance.

Wednesday will also feature a "Winning Wednesday" with prizes from Bass Pro Shops being handed out all evening. The nationally-recognized "Billy Donovan Night" will also take center stage, allowing fans to negotiate their ticket purchase if unsatisfied with Wednesday night’s events.
