By Treasure Coast Palm Staff Report FORT MYERS — The Vero Beach Devil Rays lost 8-2 to the Fort Myers Miracle on Saturday night. The Miracle did most of their damage in the third inning, which included a three-run triple by Juan Portes. Portes tried to score on the play, but was tagged out at home. Matthew Walker (1-6) allowed five runs and five hits in two innings for Vero Beach, earning the loss. Neil Walton and Sergio Pedroza were the only Devil Rays to get multiple hits. They each had two. Portes drove in five runs for Fort Myers and Joshua Hill (3-2) got the win. ON DECK: The Devil Rays return to Holman Stadium at 5 p.m. today for a game against the Jupiter Hammerheads.
