St. Lucie outlasts Lakeland

LAKELAND — Right fielder Dustin Martin drove in three runs and had two triples to lead the St. Lucie Mets past the Lakeland Flying Tigers 15-10 on Tuesday night.

In a minor-league rehab start, Mets second-basemen Jose Valentin hit a three-run home run and sccored four runs. Michael Hernandez hit a two-run home run for the Flying Tigers.

Miracle 4, Hammerheads 3: Caleb Moore hit a solo home run in the top of the 10th inning, giving Fort Myers the go-ahead run against Jupiter.

Gaby Sanchez and Colin Roberson each drove in runs for the Hammerheads and Erik Lis was 4-for-5 for the Miracle.

Threshers 8, Cardinals 0: Joshua Outman pitched seven innings and struck out five as Clearwater shut out visiting Palm Beach.

Cardinals starter Adam Ottavino went five innings and struck out six. Jason Donald and Gregory Golson each hit home runs for the Threshers.
