Lakeland's Jordan Tata threw a complete-game shutout Monday night and the Tigers blanked the Fort Myers Miracle, 9-0.

The Miracle didn't get their first hit until two were out in the sixth inning. Ron Perodin lined a solid single into left-center field. The hits were few and far between for the Miracle, who managed just three against Tata. They had one man reach as far as second base and that came in the ninth when, with two outs, JR Taylor singled and Matt Moses was hit by a pitch.

Tata struck out seven while throwing 109 pitches, 76 for strikes.

Miracle starter Adam Harben matched Tata's goose eggs through the first four innings, but in the fifth the Tigers got all the runs they needed. Four singles and a walk plated the three runs and the Tigers never looked back. They would score four more in the sixth and two in the seventh.

The Miracle, who came into the series with a team ERA under three, allowed 17 runs in the final two games of the series.

The Miracle welcome the Tampa Yankees to Hammond Stadium Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. The Miracle send RHP Nick Blackburn (3-1, 2.16) to the hill against Yankee LHP Abel Gomez (1-0, 4.35).
