Miracle shut out Cardinals

The Fort Myers Miracle, behind a dominating pitching performance by Scott Tyler, shut out the Palm Beach Cardinals, 4-0, on Friday night at Roger Dean Stadium.

Tyler went six shutout innings, allowing just two hits while walking two and striking out six to earn his second victory of the season.

The Miracle scored three times in the fifth inning and added another run in the sixth.

Omar Burgos went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored to lead the Miracle.

J.R. Taylor extended his hit streak to a team-high nine games as he went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI.

The Miracle face the Cardinals today at 6:05 p.m.
