By Daily News staff The Fort Myers Miracle ended a six-game losing streak in style on Tuesday night, ripping the Vero Beach Dodgers, 15-3, in Vero Beach. The Miracle set season-highs in runs in an inning (8), runs in a ballgame (15) and tied a season-high with 17 hits. Brock Peterson homered twice in the game, the second time he's done that this year. He hit a solo homer in the sixth and a two-run blast in the ninth. He also scored three runs. Miracle starting pitcher Adam Harben allowed two runs on three hits in six-plus innings while walking one and striking out two. He did give up a home run to Dodger third baseman Andy LaRoche, the fifth straight game he has homered in. The same two teams meet tonight at Holman Stadium at 7 p.m. Webposted May 25, 2005 |
