Miracle split with Dodgers

The Fort Myers Miracle nearly swept a doubleheader against the Vero Beach Dodgers on Thursday night at Holman Stadium.

After winning the first game 7-3, the Miracle fell 1-0.

In the second game, Denard Span had a pinch-hit single to lead off the seventh inning and extend his hitting streak to 13 games. The Miracle had first and second with no one out in the seventh but failed to score.
