Simonitsch keys Miracle win

Fort Myers' Errol Simonitsch outdueled Brevard County's Ty Taubenheim to lead the Miracle to a 2-1 victory at Hammond Stadium on Friday night in Fort Myers.

Taubenheim entered the game with a 7-0 record and 2.23 ERA.

But Simonitsch allowed just four hits in eight innings and struck out seven.

He retired 12 batters in a row at one point.

Fort Myers scored in the third when J.R. Taylor singled, stole second and scored on Kyle Phillips' RBI single.
