Rain washes out Miracle game

VERO BEACH — The Fort Myers Miracle-Vero Beach Dodgers game was postponed due to rain Wednesday night at Holman Stadium. The two teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. today.

Both Florida State League games will be scheduled for seven innings and game two will follow approximately 25 minutes at the conclusion of game one.

The Miracle will send right-hander Nick Blackburn (4-2, 3.26) to the hill in game one and lefty Glen Perkins (1-1, 2.89) in game two. The Dodgers will send right-hander Justin Orenduff (3-1, 2.41) to the mound in game one and righty Julio Cesar Pimentel (3-2, 4.40) in game two.
